Miloš Milivojević
Serbian born classical accordionist Miloš Milivojević started his musical education in Kragujevac with Professors Milica Lazarević, Radomir Tomić and Vojin Vasović and was first prizewinner at the International Accordion Competitions in Italy (Castelfidardo 1996), Denmark (Diremose Prisen 1996), France (Grand Prix 1997) and Germany (Klingental 1998 & 2000).
In 2002 Miloš moved to London and has been awarded full scholarship from the Royal Academy of Music for Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Master Degree, where he completed studies with Professor Owen Murray and received Larry Adler Award, S & M Eyres Wilson Scholarship, Lady Sainsbury Award, Cordelia Moses Award, The Leverhulme Trust and Musicians Benevolent Fund Education Award.
In 2004 Miloš made his debut at the London’s Purcell Room as a part of the Park Lane Group Series and received enthusiastic reviews. Same year Miloš has been selected to perform as a soloist at the University of London Senate House, at the Foundation awards ceremony in front of HRH The Princess Royal.
In 2007 Miloš became the first accordionist ever to win the RAM Club Prize at the Academy open to all instrumentalists and in 2008 has been selected to represent the Academy and was the Winner of the prestigious Derek Butler London Prize at the Wigmore Hall – contested by students from all four of the London conservatories. Following successful completion of his studies in 2009 Miloš was awarded Distinction and Vice Principal’s Special Prize at the Royal Academy of Music.
It was during his studies at the Academy that Miloš developed passion to promote the classical accordion on the concert platform and ever since he has introduced, worked and premiered works by British composers – Anthony Gilbert, Howard Skempton, Elena Firsova, Stephane Altier, Patrick Nunn, Ben Foskett, Julian Philips, Tom Lane, Elena Vorotko, Carlos Duque, Mark Bowden, Emily Hall, Anna Meredith, Philip Venables, Bushra El-Turk, Robert Percy, Rhian Samuel, Geoffrey Hanson, Will Todd and has given the UK premiere of Sequenza No.13 by Luciano Berio.
As a result of Miloš’s diverse musical interest he has already appeared as a soloist, chamber musician and regular member of the London Tango Quintet, Kosmos Ensemble, AccordDuo and Balkan group Paprika, at many prestigious classical and world music festivals across the UK, Russia, Slovenia, Hungary, Italy, Iceland, Serbia, Montenegro, Spain, the Canary Islands, Malta, Australia and New Zealand.
Miloš has performed in the Royal Albert Hall, Wembley Arena, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Sidney Opera House, Wigmore Hall, Cadogan Hall, Purcell Room, St. Johns Smith Square, St. James Piccadilly, St Martin in the Fields, Kings Place, Snape Maltings, Holywell Music Room, West Road Concert Hall, Turner Sims Concert Hall, Jersey Opera House, Teatru Manoel Malta, Kolarac Hall Belgrade, Sheperds Bush Empire, O2 Academy Bristol, O2 Academy Newcastle, O2 Academy Glasgow, O2 Academy Birmingham, Manchester Academy, Power House Brisbane, Forum Theatre Melbourne, Street Theatre Canberra, Kings Theatre New Castle, Clarendon Theatre Katoomba, Royal Theatre Canberra, Freemantle Arts Centre.

Miloš regularly performs with acclaimed violinists David Jurtiz, Harriet Mackenzie, Taro Hakase, classical guitarist Craig Ogden, cellists Adrian Bradbury, Matthew Sharp, and soprano Bibi Heal. Miloš has also appeared with London Mozart Players, Russian Virtuosi of Europe, London Sinfonietta, Filharmonika Orchestra, Chroma Ensemble, Chorus of Opera North, and has worked with conductors such as Zoltán Kocsis, Oliver Knussen, Brian Schembri, Paul Kildea, Christopher Austin, Gerry Cornelius, Toby Purser, German Clavijo and Martin Wettges. Miloš has also performed with many leading UK Opera productions such as The Opera Group, Opera North, London Contemporary Opera and Opera Holland Park.
Miloš has given seminars at the Southampton University, Royal Holloway University of London and at the Jersey Academy of Music and live interviews and broadcasts on BBC Radio 2 – Friday Night is Music Night, BBC Radio 3 In Tune, World Music on BBC 3, The Strand World of Music BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio 4, Classic FM, ABC and Serbian national radio and television networks.
In 2014 Miloš has been elected an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music ARAM for his contribution to the music. Miloš is extremely grateful to Burton Bradstock Festival for generous support towards his professional music career. He is an official artist and exclusively performs on the Pigini Accordions. Miloš’s debut solo CD will be released on Nimbus label in 2016.
